Waimea Holding has announced its investment plans for next year. In 2017 the developer plans to open two logistics parks and start the construction of two more.
“In mid-2017 we are planning to put into use Waimea Cargo Terminal Rzeszów-Jasionka and the first phase of Waimea Logistic Park Bydgoszcz. We are also starting two new projects in the Zachodniopomorskie province,” reveals Andrzej Rosiński, the CEO of Waimea Holding.
At the beginning of next year the construction of Waimea Logistic Park Stargard, with a total planned developed area of around 80,000 sqm, will start on the 17 ha site. The park will include six class ‘A’ halls designated for warehouse, production and logistics. 10,000 sqm has already been leased. July 2017 will see the beginning of the construction of the first warehouse in Waimea Logistic Park Port Morski in Szczecin’s harbour area. The building will comprise 48,000 sqm of high quality warehouse space.
In the last year Waimea Holding has completed, opened and leased the first phase of Waimea Logistic Park Korczowa on the A4 motorway in the Podkarpacie region. Projects in Bydgoszcz and Rzeszów are also now underway. Waimea Logistic Park Bydgoszcz is to have a developed area of around 90,000 sqm. The multi-modal Waimea Cargo Terminal Rzeszów-Jasionka, with a total area of 6,800 sqm, is under construction on a 2 ha plot neighbouring the International Airport Rzeszów-Jasionka. The terminal will provide air freight services, with the developer having signed a letter of intent with the board of the airport to take on cargo terminal handling services.
In addition, a 77,000 sqm complex with seven halls has been fully-leased a year before the completion of North-West Logistic Park in Szczecin. Four halls with an area of 64,000 sqm were also acquired by an American investor Exeter Property Group in October 2016.
