Panattoni has once again hit all the right notes with its latest location. The construction of Panattoni Park Piła, with an area of ​​more than 44,000 sqm, has only just started, but the park is already 90% leased. A total of 33,500 sqm is to be occupied by a logistics operator for Signify (formerly Philips Lighting) – the world leader in lighting technology. The project will also feature advanced energy-saving and intelligent lighting systems based on Philips’ own Dynalite system, which is entirely in line with Industry 4.0 trends. The tenant will also benefit from photovoltaic installations and other green technological features that will allow the facility to obtain BREEAM certification at the ‘Excellent’ level.

Lighting the way to the future at Panattoni Park Piła. In recent years, LED technology has contributed to the growth in the savings that can be made when it comes to industrial real estate, as well acting as a key weapon in combating excessive CO2 emissions. In this facility, which is to be fitted with a modern lighting control system, it will be possible for CO2 emissions to be reduced by up to 274 tonnes per year. One of the companies driving sustainable development in this segment is Signify (formerly Philips Lighting) – the world’s number one intelligent lighting producer, which is continuing to grow and is now focused on the Polish market. At the beginning of 2023, the company will move into its 33,500 sqm premises in Panattoni Park Piła.

Signify’s space will be installed with the Philips Dynalite lighting control system, which features motion sensors and automatic lighting control that reacts to daylight. In addition to this, the lighting data is to be collated and represented in the form of energy consumption and occupancy graphs generated by software specially designed to support the ongoing maintenance of the buildings. Among other innovations, the light fittings will be equipped with technology designed to locate devices on the premises. Each light will be a point that transmits a special code that can be read by a camera in a mobile device. With this system radio antennas can be dispensed with, while it can also be used in order picking processes. In addition to all this, ‘circular lighting’ is to be used throughout the facility. These light fittings have been designed in line with circular economy principles in such a way as to minimise waste and any negative impact on the environment. They also have one of the highest efficiency levels of any comparable product on the market, which translates into reduced maintenance costs. Signify lighting will be used to illuminate both the interior and exterior of the warehouse. The logistics operator will also be able to make use of a fast truck loading system, as well as photovoltaic panels. The green solutions employed will allow the complex to obtain BREEAM certification at the ‘Excellent’ level.

At Panattoni Park Piła, tradition meets the future. For more than 60 years, Piła has been one of the most important locations for the production of lighting elements in Poland. It was the location of the Lumen and Polam lighting plants, which were eventually acquired by Philips prior to its transformation into Signify – the global leader in conventional, integrated and LED lighting. It also saw the opening of a new Signify light fitting plant at the end of last year. Panattoni has created an opportunity to support this rich tradition and provide a platform for the further development of the latest solutions in the field of industrial lighting.

Piła – at the crossroads between the largest markets. Panattoni Park Piła is being built in a strategic location – at the junction of National Road 10, which runs almost from the capital city itself to the western border beyond Szczecin, and National Road 11, which connects the northwest and the south of the country. The park is situated less than 100 km from two constantly developing markets – Poznań and Bydgoszcz – and 5 km from Piła city centre, with which it has convenient public transport connections. Ultimately, the complex will comprise 44,100 sqm in two buildings, both have which have already been almost fully leased. This modern space in such an attractive location represents the ideal choice for logistics and e-commerce companies, as well as for local businesses.

Panattoni Park Piła is the first speculative project to be delivered by the developer in this city. Previously, the company completed a BTS facility in Piła for Thule Group, a world leader in goods transportation products. This 13,500 sqm project lies within the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone.
