Panattoni Europe has completed the construction of a large logistics centre for BSH Sprzęt Gospodarstwa Domowego. The 79,000 sqm BTS facility with its own railway siding was constructed in Łódź, at the largest distribution complex in Poland, Central European Logistics Hub.
The size of warehouse is 77,000 sq.m, and the social and office space 1,700 sq.m. The investment had two railway sidings with three parking tracks - two outside and one inside the building. It was Panattoni Europe that built a railway station inside the building for this purpose, the platform of which is 590 m long, i.e. the length of the building. The presence of railway sidings means that BSH has access to the most environmentally friendly transport, i.e. rail transport. It will be used for the logistics of export production. In addition, the building is equipped with a special set of ramps, LED lighting, as well as additional skylights and windows in the façade, which greatly increased the access to natural light.
Within Central European Logistics Hub three buildings with a total area of 175,000 sq.m are currently under construction, while in the future the largest logistics complex in Poland, created by Panattoni Europe, will accommodate up to 300,000 sq.m of modern warehouse space.
