The Tymbark factory in Olsztynek, belonging to the Maspex Group, opened a modern production and warehouse complex with the entire technical infrastructure, with a total area of 22,000 sq.m.
Three modern production lines were installed in the new production hall, among others, for the production of juices and water. The fully automated logistics centre will accommodate 30,000 pallets on 13 storage levels. The value of the investment was PLN 170 million.
Since 1996, when the Olsztynek plant was incorporated into the Maspex Group, the company has invested a total of over PLN 625 million in the expansion of its production, logistics and raw materials facilities. Thanks to this, the Olsztynek plant is now able to produce 11 times more and has a total of 50 thousand pallet places in its warehouses.
Every year Tymbark in Olsztynek buys over 100 thousand tons of fruit and vegetables from Polish suppliers (mainly carrots, apples, tomatoes and strawberries), which constitutes as much as 1/3 of the purchasing capacity of the entire Group, which also conducts purchases in plants in Tymbark and Łowicz. Since 1996, the processing capacity of the Olsztynek plant has increased fivefold.
