LPP has announced the construction of a new distribution centre with a planned area of approx. 100,000 sq. m. The project is to be implemented in three stages. How do advisors summarize this transaction?
- The purchase of land for the development of the distribution centre was one of the largest transactions on the Polish warehouse market. One of the most important criteria, apart from the location in the centre of the country, near the main communication routes, was the possibility of building up to a height of 25 metres, so that a warehouse equipped with modern automatic storage systems could be built. It is worth emphasising that we could count on very good cooperation on the part of Brześć Kujawski's government authorities, which was also important in the decision-making process - says Łukasz Grupa, Senior Associate in the Industrial and Logistics Agency at Colliers International, which advised LPP on the land selection process.
The distribution centre in Brześć Kujawski will double the current warehouse space of LPP. After its launch, the fixed-line sales of the company's other brands will be serviced in Pruszcz Gdański. The centre located there, is currently the largest and most modern facility for clothing distribution in Central and Eastern Europe. LPP sends 8 million garments a week from this location to its stores.
