British logistics company Clipper is opening its first logistics facility in the country.
It has leased 10,000 sqm of built-to-suit warehouse space in a new 23,500 sqm building at P3 Poznan park in western Poland. The tenant, which provides logistics services across Europe, is to use its new warehouse to run logistics processes for Westwing, an online retailer of interior furnishings, furniture, home accessories and decorative items.
“It was crucial for us to obtain maximum flexibility in the building so that it can be used for both our current and future clients. To do this, P3 provided an above-average number of docks. Another factor that heavily influenced our choice of P3 Poznan was its location, with easy access for product distribution to both Poland and Germany - the two countries that will be served from this warehouse,” said Stefan van Hoof, the managing director at Clipper Logistics Germany.
The warehouse will have seventeen docks - seven more than in a standard facility of this size. Ecologically sound design and energy saving solutions, such as LED lighting and innovative thermo-insulated wall panels have also been used. P3 handed over the space in April 2017.
As a result of the completion of this building, together with its recent purchase of eleven new properties in Spain, P3’s pan-European portfolio has now increased in size to a total of 182 high-quality warehouses totaling 3.9 mln sqm across 73 parks in nine countries and, there is more than 500,000 sqm in its development pipeline.
