BBK has leased an additional 5,000 sqm in the fifth warehouse in the Gdańsk-Kowale park developed jointly by 7R and Hillwood.
BBK has been present in the TriCity location since 2010 at about the time when space in the park first came to market. The first warehouse had an area of app. 5,000 sqm, which was followed in 2014 by a BTS development for BBK (Centrum Logistyczne Gdańsk-Kowale III) with an area of over 20,000 sqm. As a result, the area the company leased nearly quadrupled. “Due to our rapid growth we are once again increasing the area we lease in Gdańsk. We very much appreciate our long-term partnership with the developer. Working with a partner that has proven their worth is very important for us,” says Jacek Baczewski, the vice-president of BBK. Centrum Logistyczne Gdańsk-Kowale V with an area of 33,000 sqm was completed in April this year. It was built in JV with Hillwood. Apart from BBK its tenants also include: Auto Partner, BOWI, DTS, Avides and Argo.
Construction work on the fifth and final warehouse in Park Logistyczny Gdańsk-Kowale began in June this year. The building will have an area of 18,000 sqm and should be completed within the year. Upon completion of the work in the park will have reached its planned maximum size of more than 140,000 sqm. However, this is not the end of 7R’s investments in Pomerania. “Despite the construction of Park Logistyczny Gdańsk-Kowale nearing its completion, this is not the end of our investments in the region. We were among the first companies to spot the potential of TriCity warehouse properties, which has increased over the years that we have been investing here. As an active developer we continuously plan new projects. It is one of our ambitions to be the market leader for warehouse space within the region,” said Ryszard Gretkowski, the vice-president of 7R.
