A 6,000 sqm warehouse in the Kraków Kokotów-Brzegi logistics park has been completed for tea producer Teekanne.
The built-to-suit facility will be the company’s main production plant in Poland. Apart from the production section the building will also include a warehouse and office area as well as rest and refreshment rooms for the staff. This is the fourth building completed by the developer in Kokotów. It also signifies the completion of the first stage of the park, which involved the construction of four warehouses for rent with a combined area of nearly 54,000 sqm. Tenants include such companies as Universal Express Distribution, Pekaes, Grupa Kapitałowa Specjał, JAS FBG, Excellent, PGD Polska and Rhenus Logistics. The construction of a fifth building, with 27,000 sqm of leasable warehouse space, has also started over the last few weeks.
“Intensive design and preparation work is currently in progress on the next two buildings to be built within the Kraków Kokotów-Brzegi logistics park. 7R is also planning to begin the construction of a sixth warehouse this year. If the demand from tenants continues to be as high as it is now, it is possible that work on the next warehouse, with an area of app. 26,000 sqm, will be launched this year,” claims Jerzy Czajkowski, a proxy representative of the management board for investment at 7R.
Eight buildings with a combined area of over 180,000 sqm will eventually be built in the complex in Kokotów, which lies within the Wieliczka Economic Activity Zone. The work on all the buildings is expected to be completed in 2019.
